A two-week engagement for seed-stage founders searching for product-market fit. Stop guessing, build an evidence-based picture of who your customer is, whether you have PMF, and what to do next.
Most seed-stage founders can feel that something isn't clicking, but they can't pinpoint what. Retention is flat. Signups come in but don't convert. Every conversation with investors includes the phrase “how do you know you have PMF?” and the honest answer is “we think so.”
The usual response is to keep building features, change the positioning, try a new channel. But without a clear picture of who your customer actually is and what job your product does for them, those experiments are random. You're spending months on guesswork when a few weeks of structured evidence-gathering would give you clarity.
Week 1: Discovery
We start with a kickoff: goals, current state, hypotheses, constraints, assumptions. We'll build a Signal Page together, which forms the basis for our next steps. We'll deploy a survey to your existing users and pull your core metrics (retention, activation, NPS).
From there, I run 8–10 targeted customer interviews (conducted or co-conducted with you), tear down your activation funnel, and review your competitive positioning.
Week 2: Synthesis & Delivery
This is where research turns into action. I build the ICP document grounded in interview evidence, score your PMF position, design the measurement framework, and prioritise an experiment roadmap.
We close with a focused debrief where I walk through everything and hand off the deliverables.
The timeline is flexible - if you need to spread the sprint over 3–4 weeks to allow for scheduling interviews or collecting survey data, that works too.
Five deliverables you can hand to your co-founder, your board, or your investors:
PMF Scorecard
Quantitative and qualitative assessment of where you stand. Survey results, retention analysis, qualitative signals, and assumptions mapped to evidence.
ICP Document
Evidence-based ideal customer profile. Named segments, prioritisation, and the reasoning behind each. A document grounded in interviews and data.
Experiment Roadmap
10–15 prioritised experiments, each with a hypothesis, success metric, effort estimate, and measurement plan. A sequenced plan.
Measurement Framework
What to track, benchmarks, and an instrumentation guide. So you know whether the experiments are working.
Tested Signal Page
A powerful source of truth for your experiments, which you can use to continue running with after I'm gone.
Plus a follow-on call to review progress. We review what's working, what the data says, and adjust the plan.
I'm Head of Product at Prisma, a developer tools company used by hundreds of thousands of developers. I've spent years thinking about activation, retention, and what separates products that grow from products that stall.
The PMF Sprint is built on frameworks I've applied across multiple products and stages — not theory from a book, but patterns from doing the work.
AUD $15,000 flat. Everything above, plus the 30-day check-in.
No retainer. No hourly billing.
If you're searching for PMF and want a structured way to find it, email me. We'll do a 30-minute call to make sure the sprint is the right fit, and if it is, we can start within a week or two.
